UTM Youth Achievers has urged young people in the country to invest in farm mechanisation to ensure food security in the country.
UTM Youth Achievers National Chairperson, Mnzondi Mkandawire, made the remarks at Kabuma Estate in Kasungu during the opening session of a two-day training in farm mechanisation.
Mkandawire said if young people are able to produce food for themselves they can not be used by politicians as they will be able to make independent decisions.
UTM Youth Achievers targets to train youths from all regions of the country in farm mechanisation.
