Three people have died after a minibus they were travelling in overturned on Monday along the Blantyre-Nsanje M1 Road.
Chikwawa Police publicist, Dickson Matemba, says the accident involved a Toyota Hiace minibus, which was being driven by Blackson Useni, 30, and had 20 passengers.
“He failed to control his vehicle due to excessive speed that resulted into overturning,” said Matemba.
He said the casualties were rushed to Ngabu Rural Hospital in Chikwawa where three were pronounced dead.
Several others, including the driver, sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
