Silver Strikers have failed to extend their 7-point lead in the TNM Super League log table after a 2-all draw at Kamuzu Stadium on Monday against Mighty Waka-Waka Tigers.
Silvers’ Duncan Nyoni first found the back of the net in the 6th minute, but the Tigers equalised in the 58th minute through Messiah Kachingwe’s attempt.
In the 79th minute, Nickson Mwase scored the second goal for Silver, but Chimwemwe Ibrahim equalised with a free-kick screamer in the 96th minute.
This result means the Central Bankers remain unbeaten in the league with 26 points, while Tigers are 12th place with 12 points.
In another match, Kamuzu Barracks have dislodged Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in second place after sharing spoils with winless rookies Baka City at Karonga Stadium in a goalless draw.
Silver’s next assignment is a capital city derby against Civil Service United at Civo Stadium on Sunday.
