Police nab 69 suspected criminals in Blantyre

Police in Blantyre have arrested 69 suspects for various offences in the city of Blantyre.

Joseph Sauka, the South West Region Police Public Relations Officer, says six of the suspects are on wanted list, 65 are males and four are females aged from five to 48 and will answer charges of illegal vending, possession of Marijuana without a license, idle and disorderly conduct, touting and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.

Sauka said the exercise commenced on March 10 targeting Blantyre Central Business District and Limbe following the Police’s vow to make the city and its surrounding areas safe and secure.
