Parliament has passed the 2024/2025 National Budget, which is pegged at K5.9 trillion.
This means Treasury is now authorized to spend based on the financial blueprint, which has allocated 30% of the resources towards development.
Finance Minister Simplex Chithyola Banda presented the budget on February 23, 2024 hoping to build the economy and catalyse development.
The House has since been adjourned to Wednesday afternoon.
