Muslims hold Eid Ul Fitr prayers

Muslims in Blantyre have marked the occasion of Eid Ul Fitr with prayers at Mpingwe Sports Club.

Speaking after the prayers, chairperson for Limbe Muslim Jamaat, Farook Nathanie, called on Muslims to continue doing charity works and to maintain peace.

One of notable people who attended the prayers is seasoned politician Uladi Mussa, who is a member of the Malawi Congress Party.

Speaking to MBC Digital, Mussa called on Muslims to remain prayerful and heed the Presidential call for support in areas that have been hit by natural disasters.

Similar prayers have been conducted at Chichiri upper stadium, where spokesperson for Muslim Association of Malawi Dinala Chabulika urged Muslims to continue doing good deeds.
