Hindus have joined hands with Malawi government officials to celebrate cultural diversity and national cohesion at the Holi Festival.
This event has brought vibrancy and unity to Malawians and the Indian community.
Deputy Minister of Local Government, Joyce Chitsulo, underscored the significance of cultural festivals in fostering unity among Malawians.
“Cultural festivals like Holi are essential in promoting unity and are in line with the government’s efforts to promote culture,” she said.
High Commissioner of India to Malawi, Shri Gopalakrishnan, noted the crucial role such festivals play in strengthening the bond between Malawi and India.
“The peace-loving nature of Malawians and vibrant cultural festivals like Holi promote bilateral ties between our two nations,” he observed.
