Major Aidini laid to rest

People of Nkope in Mangochi District today paid their last respects to Major Wales Aidin, an aircraft engineer who died in the Chikangawa airplane crash on Monday.

Speaking during the burial ceremony, family members described him as a strong pillar of the family.

Delivering eulogy, Minister of Trade Sosten Gwengwe, who represented President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at the ceremony, described his passing as a great loss to the country.

“As a nation we have lost a man who possessed great wisdom in aircraft engineering, the President in particular is saddened because it takes effort to produce such technicians,” said Gwengwe.
