CLINIC OFFERS FREE SESSIONS TO COMMUNITIES

Active Life Physiotherapy clinic in Lilongwe through the free for all children rehabilitation programme has embarked on offering free physiotherapy services in communities targeting underprivileged and physically challenged children across Malawi.

Speaking with MBC, Director and Rehabilitation Therapist at Active Life Physiotherapy Clinic, Kennedy Kadewere, said the clinic’s goal is to provide a good platform for people who cannot access paid Physiotherapy services.

“It is not just about treating the patient at our clinic, we also aim to help others who need physiotherapy services but they cannot afford to access such services. It’s our way of giving back to the community.” He said.

However, Kadewere called on well-wishers to sponsor the programme to cater for some of the challenges hindering the effectiveness of the services.

“You haven’t done enough if you haven’t helped a child. The kids are lacking food supplements as most of them are malnourished. We appeal to people of goodwill, companies or corporate organisations for help,” added Kadewere.

Chiuzila is one of the communities with 40 children benefiting from the free physiotherapy programme Under Active Physiotherapy Clinic.
