Climate Smart Programme participants receive wages

21, 870 participants of Phase One of the Climate Smart Enhanced Public Works Programme have started receiving their wages in Dedza District.

The program’s Desk Officer, Franklin Gomani, said they have started the exercise of paying the participants who are working in 24 catchment areas in the District in conserving the environment.

One of participants, Lukeresiya Christiano, described the wages as relief towards the family to find food.

“I have received K38, 400 I thank the government for this initiative of conserving the environment,” Christiano said.
