The Blantyre District Netball Committee has secured a 12-week, K1 million sponsorship from GM Plastics Industry for the Rainbow Paints League’s Player of the Week award.
Each week, the selected player will receive K50,000 as well as products from GM Plastics Industry.
Victor Emment, marketer at the company announced that the Player of the Week will be nominated by technical experts, with vote cast on the company’s Facebook page.
The committee’s General Secretary, Anne Hanjahanja, hailed the sponsorship as a significant milestone in promoting netball.
Kukoma Diamonds player Shabel Bengo said the sponsorship is a great motivation for the players.
