Retired police officers donate to Balaka Hospital

Retired Police Officers (REPO) Balaka Chapter has donated assorted items to Balaka District Hospital as part of their corporate responsibility.

According to REPO Chairperson Bright Sanudi, the aim was to assist patients who travel long distances to the hospital with basic needs. Sanudi said the group will continue supporting the hospital, especially patients admitted, whenever funds are available.

District Nursing and Midwifery Officer Mercy Banda hailed the donation, saying it will help patients in dire need of basic necessities. She encouraged others to emulate REPO’s gesture.

Balaka Police Station Officer-In-Charge Senior Superintendent Dan Sauteni pledged continued support to REPO’s initiatives.

Beneficiary Belita Chakwawo thanked REPO for the timely donation, noting most patients arrive without guardians or basic needs.

REPO Balaka Chapter comprises 24 retired police officers.
