Mega farm initiative transforms life of a pensioner

Martin Mnesa, a 74-year-old of Traditional Authority Katunga in Chikwawa has commended the mega farm initiative for transforming his life.

This was revealed when officials from the Office of the President and Cabinet toured some development projects in Chikwawa.

Mnesa, a retired civil servant said among others, he has managed to construct a house after joining the Sugarcane mega farm, Katunga Maseya-KAMA Corporative which is still expanding.

“I expect so much from this initiative, ” Mnesa said, expressing his optimism about the future benefits of the initiative.

Covering about 1000 hectares, the mega farm has over 2000 farmers. It is being funded by AGCOM.
