Condolences continue to pour in following the death of former Malawi Congress Party President John Zenus Ungapake Tembo.
In an interview with MBC, Joseph Njobvuyalema, who worked with Tembo since 1999 as his whip said Malawi lost a politician who was passionate about his party, the people of Malawi and the development of the country.
Manjankhosi who was MCP Women Chairperson for the centre, described late Tembo as visionary, principled and generous.

“We used to travel with him across the country, doing party activities. He was a good leader who anchored the Malawi Congress Party after late Ngwazi Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda,” said Manjankhosi.
Tembo who was former President of the MCP, was also the first Governor of the Reserve Bank of Malawi, and the first Malawian Minister of Finance.
