Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) was part of the African media organizations that attended the China-Africa Media partnership launched by the China Media Group (CMG) on August 31 at the CMG headquarters in Beijing.
Christened “A Civilization Symphony and a Digital Dream”, the African Media Partners Cooperation aims to deepen cooperation by promoting mutual understanding with at least 11 media houses from East Africa including Malawi.
Delivering his speech on behalf of the Chinese Government, Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of the China Media Group expressed the hope that the new China-Africa Media partnership will enhance the ability of effectively telling the China-Africa success story of mutual benefits and joint modernization.
At the launch of the African Partners Media Cooperation, several African leaders such as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, Faustin-Archange Toudera of the Central African Republic and Wavel Ramkalawan of the Seychelles extended their best wishes to this media partnership.
The African leaders who addressed the delegates virtually hoped for a better collaboration is the spearheading of development initiatives for the peoples of China and Africa.
