Flames Coach Patrick Mabedi has acknowledged the upcoming World Cup qualifier match against Equatorial Guinea on Monday as a significant challenge compared to their previous game against Sao Tome and Principe in Group H.
The Flames are currently in Malabo, set to face Equatorial Guinea, who have yet to secure any points in the group. This follows their 3-1 victory over Sao Tome at Bingu National Stadium last Thursday. The Flames are third in Group H, with 6 points from two wins and one loss.
Mabedi expressed confidence in his team’s preparation for the away fixture, stating that he has addressed the issues observed in the Sao Tome game.
Captain John Banda emphasized that winning the match is crucial for boosting their morale and keeping their World Cup qualification hopes alive.
