Hammers, MAFCO share spoils

Mzuzu City Hammers and MAFCO have shared the spoils after their game ended 1-1 in a Super league match on Monday at Mzuzu Stadium.

Promise Uzoagba put Hammers ahead in the 52nd minute from a corner that was chipped in by Captain Wongani Lungu.

MAFCO came back in the game in the 81st minute when Mphatso Phillimon equalized after tapping in a rebound from Man of the Match Peter Kasonga.

MAFCO Assistant Coach, Jimmy Mzunga, said the game was tough but collecting a point was not a bad result.

His counterpart, Elias Chirambo, said the coming in of new players, especially striker Uzoagba and others will help the team to continue fighting in the TNM Super League.

The results has left Mzuzu City Hammers on position four with 18 points while MAFCO moved to position 11 with 13 points.
