Financial institutions have urged construction players in the country to utilise diverse funding opportunities available to drive development in Malawi.
This was disclosed at a three-day 7th International Construction Conference in Mangochi, where various banks presented their funding products to attendees.
Standard Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Phillip Madinga, highlighted the bank’s role in financing significant infrastructure projects, such as expansion of Kenyatta Drive in Blantyre and Mzimba Street in Lilongwe, through public-private partnerships with the government.
The conference is organised by the National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) and is expected to conclude on Friday.
