DoDMA donates food to orphanage in Mchinji

Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) has donated 240 bags of maize relief to the Home of Hope Orphanage in Mchinji District.

The relief comes as the organisation has been facing food shortage in recent weeks.

Founder of the orphanage, Reverend Thomson John Chipeta, expressed gratitude for the support, noting how important such donations are in sustaining their operations.

Speaking on behalf of DoDMA, Mchinji District Commissioner, Lucia Chidalengwa, attributed the donation to the government’s effort made through the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare to help ease food shortage at the orphanage.

Home of Hope Orphanage which was founded in 1998. It provides shelter, food, medical care, education and love to over 750 children from different parts of this country.
