CROSS-BORDER TRADERS DONATE TO THYOLO HOSPITAL

A grouping of cross-border traders, Blantyre Intercape Passengers has donated about K500,000 cash to patients at Thyolo District Hospital, with each patient receiving K5,000.

Vice Chairperson for the group, Chisomo Rodger said the donation is meant to help alleviate their challenges.

“We believe in sharing with the less privileged as one way of commending God for the successes of our businesses,” Rodger said.

In her remarks, one of the beneficiaries, 60-year-old Aida Kanyoza commended the traders for the gesture.

Thyolo District Hospital covers a catchment area of about 782 thousand people with 44 health centres.
