President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has said church institutions are key in fostering peace and unity.
President Chakwera made the remarks at the enthronement of Right Reverend Bishop William Mchombo as third Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire at Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral in Mangochi.
In his speech, Dr Chakwera noted that for development to flourish, it is essential for people to work together in support of government initiatives.
For this to come to fruition, the President called on all religious players, including the Anglican Church, to continue preaching peace and unity among its faithful.
