TNM Super League rookies Baka City are still struggling to break their duck following the latest goalless draw against second-placed Kamuzu Barracks at Karonga Stadium on Monday, confining them to the last slot on the log table.
In the first half, Baka City started the game lively but this was quickly overshadowed by Kamuzu Barracks’s hard-pressing football, which still could not lead to a goal due to a well-compacted home team defence.
In the second half, both teams showed creativity, pace and significant ball possession.
Baka City coach, Kondwani Mwalweni, said the result was good and hailed his players’ performance but Kamuzu Barrack’s gaffer, Charles Kamanga, was not satisfied and said luck was not on their side.
Nonetheless, the result has made Kamuzu Barracks rack up 19 points, which is enough to reclaim their second position, dislodging Mighty Wanderers with a point difference.
