Mighty Mukuru Wanderers have secured a commanding 3-0 victory against Zomba-based soldiers, Cobbe Barracks, booking a place in the round of 16 where they will meet their bitter rivals, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
Gaddie Chirwa’s brace and Francisco Madinga’s goal were enough to seal the victory.
Elsewhere, Creck Sporting registered yet another win after defeating FOMO 3-1 on post-match penalties after a 2-2 stalemate in regulation time, while Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos defeated Nyambadwe United 3-2 and Lube Masters edged out Sporting FC 1-0.
The Round of 16 will be held on July 20 and 21, according to the fixtures set by the Football Association of Malawi.
