The Private Schools Association of Malawi (PRISAM) has commended the Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) for the early release of the 2026 Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) results.
In a statement, PRISAM President Ernest Kaonga said the timely release of the results would benefit learners as schools prepare to reopen this weekend.
“The early release of MSCE results will help learners to start school together with their peers when schools open over the weekend,” Kaonga said.
He noted that, in previous years, delays in releasing results forced some students to report late for Form 1 and Form 4 selection, affecting their learning and adjustment to the new term.
Kaonga added that private schools under PRISAM were ready to welcome both continuing and newly selected students.
He further said the early announcement gives parents and school administrators sufficient time to make the necessary preparations.
MANEB released the MSCE results on Monday, with officials saying the process had been concluded ahead of schedule to facilitate a smooth transition for candidates progressing to tertiary education and secondary schools.
PRISAM has since urged successful learners to work hard at the next level of their education, while encouraging those who were unsuccessful to consider supplementary examinations and re-sit options.
