An Engineering company, PLMB, has contributed K3.5 million to the junior welterweight non-title bout between Hannock Phiri and Regen Champion from DRC.
The fight is slated for October 5th at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
The company’s Public Relations Manager, Happy Bakolo, said they have donated as one way of supporting and promoting the combat sport locally.
Organisers of the fight are New Dawn Boxing Promotions and their Technical Advisor, Brighton Mwando, said the money will assist to meet the bout’s K15 million budget.
