Zeze bemoans isolation as a derailing factor in Malawi’s music industry

Amapiano artist Zeze Kingston, who has launched his Money Making Music record label, has encouraged artists to be collaborating in order to succeed in their trade.

Speaking at the launch in Lilongwe, Zeze said most artists fail to make it because they work in isolation.

The label, run by a team of 13, seeks to provide a platform for emerging artists. Zeze unveiled three signed artists and introduced his international brand manager, James Makunje.

One of the signed artists, NaeRae, plans to release an extended playlist and thanked Zeze and Dorothy Kingston for their support.

The launch featured performances by Salama Boys from Dzaleka Refugee Camp and the dynamic duo Aidefest and Kineo.
