‘Support schools to promote the right to education’

‎Chikulamayembe Women Forum has called on different players in the education sector to support schools by providing teaching and learning resources to address challenges they face in achieving quality education in the country.

The Organisation’s Director, Tionge Gondwe, said this at Bolero Secondary School after handing over 121 desks worth K17 million kwacha to Barwe and Kapyolambavi primary schools and Bolero Secondary School in Rumphi District.


Director of Chikulamayembe Women Forum, Tionge Gondwe, said they are committed to addressing the challenges that learners particularly girls face in schools to promote their right to education.

‎Gondwe further asked stakeholders to join hands in supporting schools in the country to address the diverse challenges they face.

Head Teacher for Bolero Secondary School, Aaron Kaunda, said the support will help to promote teaching and learning at the school.

The Chikulamayembe Women Forum is a community based organization that was established in 2007 in Rumphi District with the objective of promoting women’s rights and gender equality by supporting girls’ education and leadership.
