Organisers of this year’s Tumaini Festival have revealed that South Africa’s Reggae icon Maverick Mavo and Ntunya will star at the 10th anniversary festival alongside Malawi’s musicians, Lulu and Hyphen.
The festival is a platform for local upcoming and established artists to share stage and make connections for music collaborations.
“We will continue with more innovative ideas for more positive impacts as the festival continue fostering peace and unity among people of different nationalities and help the country’s economic gains,” Tumaini Festival’s Manager, Tammy Mbendera, said.
It was founded in 2014 by Dzaleka refugees in collaboration with the surrounding host community to promote intercultural harmony, mutual understanding, and peaceful coexistence through entertainment and artistic expression.
