The Minister of Trade and Industry Sosten Gwengwe and Minister of Labour Agnes Nyalonje are at Bingu International Convention Centre where the national Product Magazine is set to award outstanding companies in manufacturing and service sectors drawn from across Malawi and Southern Africa Development Community bloc.
The ministers inspected and interacted with executives of firms who are displaying various products they manufacture and services they offer on the market.
According to Gwengwe the recognition of outstanding companies in manufacturing and service provision syncs well with the drive the country has taken to boost exports and generate more forex.
In her remarks, Nyalonje said a vibrant manufacturing sector provides a wide base for employment in the country.
The National Product Magazine is an international publication that highlights strides in manufacturing and service provision within Southern Africa.
