Delegates at Netball Association of Malawi (NAM) Extraordinary General Meeting in Blantyre have unanimously confirmed NAM’s interim committee.
The committee was appointed by the Malawi National Council of Sports last month on interim basis following the resignation of the entire NAM Executive Committee.
Following the confirmation, the commitee will run netball affairs until next year’s election.
The committee has Vitumbiko Gubuduza as President, Yamikani Kauma as General Secretary, and Cecilia Mtukule as Treasurer.
The four unopposed committee members are Fernando Ligola, Justice Katika, Tamara Fweta, and Margaret Maluwa.
Elections were also held for other positions.
Lumbani Mtonyo beat Linda Magombo for the Vice Presidency while Charity Gondwe was elected Vice General Secretary ahead of Paul Kaphala. Anastasia Kaphale went in unopposed as Vice Treasurer.
