Muslims in the country have been urged to embrace the spirit of giving during this year’s period of fasting in the month of Ramadhan.
This is according to spokesperson of the National Moon Sighting Committee, Sheikh Dinala Chabulika.
According to Chabulika, a lot of Malawians have been affected by hunger hence the need for Muslims to give more to those suffering during the month and beyond.
Ramadhan in Islam is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and the Holy month dedicated to fasting from dawn to dusk for a period of 29 to 30 days, depending on the sighting of the new moon.
