MaBLEM hails govt, E-Tech for progress in passport issuance

The Malawi Black Economic Empowerment Movement (MaBLEM), a civil society organisation, has applauded the government and the IT firm E-Tech for the resumption of passport printing services across the country.

This follows an announcement by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services that passport issuance has also resumed in the cities of Blantyre and Mzuzu.

MaBLEM expressed its appreciation in a statement signed by its Chairperson, Robert Mkwezalamba and Coordinator, Fryson Chodzi.

The organisation stated that the development is commendable as the disruption to passport issuance had caused numerous problems for passport seekers.
