The Ministry of Agriculture has affirmed government’s unwavering commitment to implementing policies aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and bolstering the country’s economy.
Speaking at the 24th annual regional multi-stakeholder policy dialogue meeting of the Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Policy Analysis Network (FANRPAN) in Lilongwe, Line Minister Sam Kawale emphasised the need for robust policies to address climate variability and other agricultural challenges facing the nation.
Tshilidzi Madzivhandila, Chief Executive Officer of FANRPAN, also underscored the importance of adopting climate-smart agriculture practices and addressing malnutrition.
Herbert Chagona, Board Chairperson for the Civil Society Agriculture Network (CISANET), highlighted that the dialogue serves as a valuable platform for researchers and scientists to share knowledge and best practices for improving the agricultural sector.
