Organisers of the Urban Music People (UMP) Festival have disclosed that the showcase, slated for October 25 to 28, has attracted business interest from Mangochi and beyond.
Managing Director of Chitoliro Productions, Ken Zizwa, confirmed the development to Journalists at Cape Maclear in Mangochi who are appreciating the state of preparedness ahead of the event.
“There is excitement of business opportunities the festival is set to provide among people of Mangochi and outside like accommodation, transportation, hospitality just to mention a few.” Zizwa said.
He said the festival also has the potential of promoting the country’s tourism sector on the global stage, with several international visitors set to storm Mangochi.
The UMP festival is expected to attract local and international artists, among them The Black Missionaries, Onesimus, Sir Trill and Deep London from RSA.
