PRSM to host high-level interface on trust and reputation in development agenda

The Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) says it will host a high-level public and private sector interface in Blantyre next week to strengthen dialogue on the role of trust and reputation in national development, according to a statement

The forum, scheduled for Thursday, 28 May in Blantyre will be held under the theme: “The ROI of Reputation and Trust: The CEO’s Agenda for Strategic Communication in a Volatile Economy.”

PRSM says the engagement seeks to reposition communication as a strategic driver of organisational performance and national development, particularly in the context of economic volatility and increasing demands for transparency and accountability.

The organisation argues that sustainable progress under Malawi’s long-term development blueprint, Malawi 2063, depends not only on financial investment but also on strong institutions, public trust and effective leadership.

The interface is expected to bring together senior leaders from both the public and private sectors to discuss how trust influences investment attraction, public confidence and the implementation of reforms.

Principal Secretary for Administration in the Office of the President and Cabinet, Rashid Ntelera, will attend as Guest of Honour, underscoring government’s role in strengthening institutional credibility and performance.

The keynote address will be delivered by the Commissioner General of the Malawi Revenue Authority, Felix Tambulasi, who is expected to share insights on tax administration, leadership and public finance management.

PRSM says discussions from the interface will help shape strategies for improved stakeholder engagement and stronger institutional trust across sectors.
