Several African heads of state and government are attending the Korea Africa summit in Kintex, Republic of Korea, whose main agenda is to explore business and economic opportunities between Seoul and countries from the continent.
Speaking at the official opening of the summit, Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol pledged his government’s commitment to establishing bilateral links with African countries to promote trade and investments.
Malawis Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima is attending the summit after being delegated by President Dr Lazarus Chakwera.
A 24-billion-dollar investment and economic financial package is expected to be offered by Korea.
More than 50 African countries are attending the summit.
