Minister of Finance Simplex Chithyola Banda says the disbursement of K100 billion NEEF loans is a huge milestone for the current administration.
The Minister told MBC in Balaka ahead of the NEEF loan disbursement celebrations at Balaka Stadium, which President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is scheduled to preside over on Thursday.
“Politically, this is a huge milestone because President Chakwera has achieved a commitment he made to Malawians. Economically, we also celebrate because we have created access to finance by small and medium businesses”, said the Minister.
According to Chithyola Banda the celebrations will coincide with the launch of the next phase of NEEF loans disbursement worth K350 billion.
