Joshua Malango legislator for Dedza Central East has moved that the House should impeach Sameer Suleman from his position as Chairperson of the Agriculture Committee, because of his gross misconduct in the National Assembly.
Malango said the conduct of Suleman on three occasions in the house misrepresents the image of Parliament as such he should not head any committee in the House.
“Madam Speaker let us waive all relevant standing orders and invoke standing order 210 for us to consider a motion to remove him (Sameer Suleman) from his position. His conduct in this honourable House is lacking and puts it into disrepute,” said Malango.
However, the Speaker guided him to follow laid down procedures on such matters.
