Beneficiaries in Zomba want climate smart programme to continue

Beneficiaries of the Climate Smart Public Works Programme in Zomba have appealed to the government to continue implementing it, citing multiple benefits.

Some of them have said through the programme, they have been able to buy fertiliser and double their agriculture produce.

“Previously I couldn’t afford to buy fertiliser for my field, by joining the programme I am able to do so and my harvest has increased,” he said.

Government of Malawi is implementing the programme as a sub programme under Social Support for Resilient Livelihoods Project.
