The National Youth Council of Malawi (NYCOM) says it will establish a bucket fund for the development of young leaders.
This was disclosed in Blantyre at a National Youth Conversations Series 2 Conference. Speaking at the conference the Executive Director of the National Youth Council of Malawi Rex Chapota said the Bucket Fund will support young aspirants who are vying for positions in the 2025 elections and beyond.
He encouraged the youth to actively participate in the coming elections.
The conference was held under the theme: “Have the youth given up?- Unleashing the power of youth participation and leadership in electoral processes”
The conference drew participants from the Southern Region including representatives of different parties, youth organisations, and academia.
