At least 200 youths, who want to go and work in Israel under a government to government labour agreement, have today petitioned Parliament.
Among others, they want government to allow them to go to Israel before authorities start identifying eligible youths through members of Parliament.
Spokesperson of the group, Gerlad Katson, said they are struggling as they borrowed money in preparation for the journey with a promise to pay it back once in Israel.
Chairperson of the Public Appointment Committee (PAC) and Co-leader of the Malawi delegation to Israel, Joyce Chitsulo, who was flanked by other MPs, assured the group that their concerns will be presented in Parliament.
