A candle has been blown off. Finally, Madalitso Senenje is resting. Mada as he was fondly called by his friends, was one of the founding members of the inspiring Advent Hope Ministries Choir which has four albums to its credit.

The bass singer died in a car accident on Sunday evening in Blantyre's Chilomoni township. He was 41.

Speaking in Ntcheu at the burial ceremony that was attended by people from all   walks of life, member of the group Chikondi Kasambara said they will miss leadership skills of the late Mada.

“Mada always taught us to prioritize others mainly those in need, for example as group we have a fund which helps the needy; his brain child idea. His humility and selfless spirit are what we are going to miss,” said Kasambara amid tears.

Representative of Mada’s friends, Henry Kamowa, quoted the scriptures from the book of Psalms chapter 156. He thanked God  for giving them Mada who among others taught them to be hardworking in many joint businesses they did together.

He said: “I have known him from way back, we had many friends but Mada was an exceptional. He taught us that one can be humble and manage to live well with others.”

He added that the late Mada taught them to be hardworking and self reliant.

The fallen singer was born on August 16 1978. He was baptized as a Seventh Day Adventist in 2000 and loved ministering through music and door to door soul winning. He is survived by a wife and two children.
