The launch also marked the official handover ceremony of Jenny Naylor Nursery School in the area of Group Village headman Msisita in the district.
Founder of the foundation Banonie Mwale said the foundation’s primary vision is to make education accessible to children in the area.
“Our vision is to create a world in which young people especially in rural areas hold power to create opportunities for themselves and others through education, business and motivation,” said Mwale.

Mwale said the main challenge for the area is access to education as most schools are located far away from the area making accessibility difficult for most children.
“We have started with the opening of a nursery school but construction of a new primary school is underway and our plan is to build a secondary school as well,” said Mwale.
The foundation’s ambassadors Jenny Naylor from London and Margaret Peggy Tempero said they were committed to assist the foundation in realizing its mission and vision.
“We are committed to support Banonie Mwale foundation by mobilizing resources for its projects. Education is key to any social-economic growth and our children need to have full access to quality education,” said the ambassadors who attended the official launch.
Apart from education, the foundation is also assisting in areas of health by donating bicycle ambulances among others.
