CHAKWERA CALLS ON KENYA TO FORGE A SHARED FUTURE WITH MALAWI

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has called on Kenya to work together with Malawi in building a shared future of peace, prosperity, transformation and genuine love.

The President who is on a three-day State Visit to the East African country was speaking in Nairobi during the Mashujaa Day Celebration which is held to honour Kenya’s freedom fighters.   
 
President Chakwera said his visit to Kenya is in the spirit of renewing the brotherhood in the struggles that the two nations face and reigniting the foundations on which relations between the two countries was built, which he noted did not take place spontaneously but symbiotically. 
 
The Malawi leader noted that Malawi and Kenya share a lot of commonalities in the struggle for independence and paid tribute to Kenyan founding leaders, including late Jomo Kenyatta who enjoyed good relations with Malawi’s founding President, late Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda. - MBC Online Services.
