Malawi President Peter Mutharika has lifted an earlier ban on maize export with immediate effect saying Malawi has now enough maize in stock.

The 2017 Southern Africa Community Development SADC senior officials meeting of ministers of transport and meteorology has commenced in Malawi’s capital Lilongwe with an appeal to delegates to prioritize regional interests.

The Southern Africa Development Committee (SADC) ministers responsible for transport and meteorology are meeting in the country’s administrative capital Lilongwe, beginning today, Monday October 30.

The women, over 1000 in number, drawn from various corners of Malawi were holding the annual ‘Zokonda Amai Macheza’ gala, courtesy of Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC). The time was approaching mid-night on Friday and that was the time the merry-making women inside Sanjika Palace Marque were beginning to think the night was done.
