The Malawi Union of the Blind has appealed to government to consider removing taxes on imported materials for special needs education that the union says are affecting provision of quality education for the visual impaired. A top representative of the union made these remarks in Lilongwe when Kilimanjalo Blind Trust Africa donated 70 orbit readers worth 30 million kwacha for learners with visual impairment.
