APM back in Malawi from UNGA

President Peter Mutharika has said Malawi shined at the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in progress the country is making to end child marriages.

President Mutharika said this upon arrival at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe from the UNGA, in New York, the United States of America.


Mutharika mentioned a video documentary that depicts efforts Senior Chief Kachindamoto is making in ending child marriages and bringing back girls to school as a milestone that was beamed at the Assembly.


He also urged people in the country to desist from negatives and start talking about positive things happening in the country.


Among other duties, Mutharika said he has signed a number of agreements with potential investors to come and invest in the country.


The Malawi leader who led a 19-member team delivered a statement to the Assembly on September 20.
