The Church is conducting a month-long evangelism at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, and during Monday’s session, Evangelist T. Y. Nyirenda said Malawians have enough reasons to thank God for giving them a good leader in the name of President Mutharika, who he said has not tampered with people’s freedom of worship which is unlike in other countries.
In the sermon on ‘Great Controversy’, the Evangelist said for years, Satan has been using political leaders, among others, to institute legislations that stifle freedom of worship.
Said Evangelist Nyirenda: “Here in Malawi, we must thank God that we have leaders who continue to respect right to freedom of worship. We will have no excuse. We will have no one to blame if we don’t get served. For this reason, I sincere thank State President Profesor Arthur Peter Mutharika for sustaining the freedom of worship which God granted us. There are countries, right on this earth where one can’t even dare walk around with a religious leaflet without being killed or arrested. But here we are, worshiping at a state own stadium.”
Few weeks ago, First Lady Dr. Gertrude Mutharika also attended the crusade.
