Minister responsible Kondwani Nankhumwa said once completed, the roads will not only improve the general outlook of the former capital city but also enhance business.

“In Zomba there are 6 roads that are being worked on and Government has increased financial allocation for our roads in cities from MK6 Billion to MK8 Billion,” said Nankhumwa adding that Government will be able to carry out a good number of projects in terms of rehabilitating roads in the cities of Malawi.

The Malawi leader President Professor Peter Mutharika on Friday 1st July 2016 embarked on a tour to some areas in the City of Zomba to appreciate road construction works currently underway.
