On paper, the Eagles had an edge over the military side, but it was a different story after the regulation time.

KB started the league on poor note as they registered back to back defeats in their three opening fixtures, but picked up in their fourth game where they managed to register their first.

On Sunday, they thumped the Eagles, thanks to goals from Steve Chagoma [own goal], Diof Simaone and Harvey Mkacha's brace.

KB has now moved to position eight with 10 points from seven games. They have won three games, drawn once and lost three games as well.

Meanwhile, Lilongwe giants Silver Strikers FC moved to second position on the log table following their win against Red Lions on Saturday.

Silver Strikers beat Zomba based side Red Lions 2-1 to dislodged Mafco FC from second position.

Silver Strikers, widely known as the Bankers, scored through Matthews Sibale and Blessings Tembo while Red Lions scored through Gibson Nkhonjera.

The Bankers now have 16 points from eight games, two behind league leaders the Eagles who have equally played eight games.

Mafco, who were only tasked with Presidential Cup assignment over the weekend, have descended to third position. They have 14 points from seven games.

Mzuni FC atoned their back-to-back defeats last weekend [losing 2-0 to Nyasa Big Bullets and another 2-0 to Tigers FC] with 1-0 win over Civo FC on Saturday. Mzuni scored the lone goal of the match through Victor Gondwe.

Karonga United are returning to the north with two points following their one-all draw with Max Bullets on Saturday and barren draw against Wizards FC on Sunday.

Karonga United have moved to 14 position with three points from four games while Wizards are on 12th position with 7 points from Six games.

Top Scorers chart is as follows:- 5 goals; Chiukepo Msowoya (NMC Big Bullets) and Richard Mbulu (Mafco), 4 goals: Bright Munthali (Azam Tigers), Manasseh Chiyesa (Kamuzu Barracks), Nelson Kangunje (Civo United) and Maxwell

Salambula (Blue Eagles), 3 goals: Mayeso Mphanje (MTV Max Bullets), Kuda Muyaba (Moyale) and Paul Phiri (Mafco).
